Convometric for Founders

Pitch practice for founders

Practise your pitch on camera. Get feedback based on how investors judge founders.

Every research finding behind your report comes from a published study, listed with its source. No invented rules.

1

Record your pitch

One minute, three minutes or five. Alone, on your laptop camera. Nothing is shown on screen while you talk except a timer.

2

Read the report

Your voice, your words and your face, measured against behaviours that research links to how investors judge founders. Each point comes with the study behind it and a moment from your recording.

3

Answer the investor

An AI investor asks five questions about your pitch, out loud. You answer on camera. You see whether you answered the question, how you framed risks, and how you sounded.

What the report looks at

Energy

How much your pitch and loudness vary, and whether you smile when you open and close.

Van Zant & Berger, 2020 · Jiang, Yin & Liu, 2019

Tone

Speaking rate compared with your own past attempts, filler words, and whether your statements end on a falling pitch.

Smith et al., 1975 · Guyer et al., 2019

Competence signals

Whether you cover the eight points angel investors screen on, the charisma tactics you use, and how much you look at the camera.

Maxwell et al., 2011 · Antonakis et al., 2011 · Shinya et al., 2024

Warmth signals

Your smiles and pace, with the research on where warmth helps and where it costs. People you invite can rate you directly.

Wang et al., 2017 · Fiske et al., 2002

What a better pitch does, and what it doesn't

In 1,139 accelerator application videos, more positive delivery went with a higher chance of funding, but it did not predict how the funded startups performed (Hu & Ma, 2025). In a field experiment, pitch training helped investors rate strong ideas higher and weak ideas lower (Clingingsmith & Shane, 2018).

A clear pitch lets investors judge your venture on its merits. It does not make a weak venture strong.

Your recordings stay private

  • Stored in a private bucket in the EU, reachable only through short-lived links.
  • Face tracking runs in your browser. The analysis receives numbers (smile, head angle, hand position), not images. The video is kept so you can watch yourself back.
  • The AI provider is told not to store your transcripts.
  • Delete any recording, or your whole account, whenever you want.
